Giving Day Volunteer Opportunities 2022: Give One Hour
Art from the Heart
Description: At family Promise, we believe that every child deserves a home. Every year in America, more than 2.5 million children experience homelessness. The Department of Education estimates that one in 18 children will experience homelessness before entering first grade.
Grab your crayons and colored pencils! We encourage youth volunteers to give back by creating ‘art from the heart’ that describes what the word home means to them. (Note: we could say home or family. Could also say home and/or family – whatever you think is best) These art pieces will help raise awareness about the issues of family homelessness. Select art pieces may be featured on Family Promise’s national social media platforms. Youth volunteers and their guardians will be contacted if their artwork is chosen to be featured. Show us your ‘art from the heart’ for Giving Day this year.

The Gift of Giving
Description: Help local families get back on their feet by providing them with essential items and household goods. Gather with your friends and family and create baskets filled with toiletries, kitchen supplies and nonperishable food items. Contact your local Family Promise Affiliate to discuss logistics and find out what items are most needed.
